South African national U23 prepare for Africa Cup of Nations

The South African national U23 squad assembled for their preparation of the upcoming CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations, with Jody February, Abbubaker Mobara, Riyaad Norodien and Rivaldo Coetzee making their way up country.

SA U23 coach, Owen da Gama, named a 21-man squad who will play in the 8-Nations U23 tournament in Senegal from November 28 to December 12. The tournament will also serve as qualification process for Rio 2016 Olympic Game, with the top three top finishers in the tournament in Senegal automatically qualifying for Rio 2016.

The Full U23 Squad:

Goalkeepers: Jody February (Ajax Cape Town), Ricardo Goss (Golden Arrows), Kyle Peters (Cape Town All Stars).

Defenders: Tshepo Rikhotso (Bloemfontein Celtic), Kwanda Mngonyama (Maritzburg United), Rivaldo Coetzee (Ajax Cape Town), Zitha Macheke (Chippa United), Denwin Farmer (SuperSport United), Tebogo Moerane (Bidvest Wits).

Midfielders: Abbubaker Mobara (Ajax Cape Town), Gift Motupa (Orlando Pirates), Menzi Masuku (Orlando Pirates), Keagan Dolly (Mamelodi Sundowns), Phumlani Ntshangase (Bidvest Wits), Paseka Mako (Cape Town All Stars), Deolin Mekoa (Maritzburg United), Riyaad Norodien (Ajax Cape Town).

Strikers: Phakamani Mahlambi (Bidvest Wits), Siphelele Ntshangase (Black Leopards), Sibusiso Sibeko (Golden Arrows), Dumisani Zuma (Bloemfontein Celtic).
