Cameroon international defender, Joel Matip, is on his way to Liverpool this summer when his contract ends with Schalke at the end of the season.
According to Sky Sports, Matip has already agreed on his new contract terms with the Reds after they tried to lure him to the Mersey side in January. The 24-year-old has impressed Jurgen Klopp since he was at Dortmund, he scored 17 goals in 181 Bundesliga appearances after he joined the Gelsenkirchen club from VfL Bochum in 2000.
Joël Matip has 27 appearances with the Indomitable Lions since making his international debut in a friendly against Italy in March 2010. He also was part of Cameroon squad at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
