Manchester United have made a big money bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, in other to booster their attacking force for next season.
The Red devils reported to have made an offer for the Argentinian hitman, with French champions Paris Saint Germain also in the race to sign the player from Gli Azzurri.
According to Italian sources, Napoli club icon Jose Alberti has confirmed that the two clubs has made a bid for the much coveted forward.
“As a Napoli fan I hope Higuain remains because the Blues could win the championship with him,” Alberti said. “PSG and Manchester United have a lot of money and with the offers made by these teams we should make him a statue if it decides to stay in Naples.”
Higuain 28, was in spectacular form for the Naples club last season, bagging 35 goals in 37 appearances, and will be a great addition to the Old Trafford line-up, and gives new manager Jose Mourinho striking options upfront.
